Knitted Mouse Cat Toy

Needle Size: US 5, 3.75mm

Cast on 12 stitches using knitted cast on method.

Row 1 - Knit 1, Slip 1 Purl Wise, Entire Row

Repeat row 1 until the work is about 2 inches, which is roughly the size of my pinky or thumb.



Cut the yarn leaving a 12in tail. Thread the yarn onto a darning needle. Run the yarn through the purled stitches (every other stitch). Flip the work over and do it again. Slip the work off the needles and you will have a little pouch.

Turn the work right side out, stuffing the original cast on yarn on the inside. Fill with a bit of stuffing and catnip if desired. Cinch shut and thread a bell onto the yarn. Run the tail through the middle of the work and out the other side in the middle. Loop the tail through a few threads to secure and cut the yarn leaving a 2 inch tail for the mouse toy.
